Visualizing Information: Nixon Approval Ratings Through Watergate

This semester, I am enrolled in Visualizing Information, my first Cleveland Institute of Art course.  For our second project we were tasked with visually displaying a timeline of events that told a story.  What better than Watergate and the intriguing downfall of the thirty-seventh President of the United States?

I overlayed significant events of the Watergate scandal to the Gallop national approval ratings with JQuery and a plug-in called ToolTip.  Check it out.

There is also a page for President Clinton and the Monica Lewinsky scandal, but the data did not show much of a story because public opinion did not rise or fall significantly.
